How Ytalki works

Plain description

Step 1. People set the language level from A1 to C2 for the books they read.

Step 2. Other people can choose foreign books based on the ratings from A1 to C2 given by other users.

Detailed description

On each book is graded according to the CEFR standard, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for advanced.

What is CEFR?

"The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language."

People can select a book for their language level based on the specified CEFR information for each book.

For example, the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" is the most suitable for intermediate level B1 because most people read it marked as a B1 level.

Why is it important to read a book with an appropriate language level?

If you start reading a book with a higher level - it becomes tiring.

if you start reading a book with a lower level - it becomes boring.

How to set the level for a special book?

Step 1. You can find a certain book by search panel or just scrolling the feed.

Step 2. Then go to the book page. There is a block with a language selector.

Step 3. You can select a language level and then click the button “Set level”.

Step 4. Your CEFR level is saved up, and others can select books based on your vote
